Brand Communications Officer at Greensprings School

The Brand Communications Manager will report to the Corporate Strategy Manager, who will report to the Chief Strategy Officer. He/She will join the team and be
responsible for providing information and media forecasts that will be used to create a strategic basis to achieve the following objectives:-
Increase in student population

  • Increase in the number of international students
  • Increase in residential school population
  • Achieve ranking among the top 5 schools in Africa and place the school at the top of the list across Africa.

Job description for the brand
Communications Officer

  • Plan and execute all website, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns for admissions and entrance exams
  • Identify marketing/PR opportunities that can
  • lead to the main objective of increasing the student population
  • Offline review of target market segments and activities within the organization for PR-worthy events
  • Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns
  • Design, build and maintain the school’s presence on social networks
  • Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and evaluate them against set goals (ROI and KPI)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on insights
  • Audit, review and regular updates of the website
  • Content generation and smart writing for the school blog
  • Explore partnership opportunities that can lead to increased awareness and also generate leads for follow-up
  • Create and adopt a system to engage and track leads generated from acquisition channels
  • Plan, execute and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Use strong analytical skills to assess end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints
  • Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels
  • Develop strategic relationships with agencies and other partner suppliers
  • Assess emerging technologies and provide recommendations as needed
  • Engage in physical sales calls to targeted feeder schools and high profile housing estates

Terms

  • BSc. degree in marketing or related social science field
  • Proven professional experience in digital marketing
  • Proven professional experience in relationship management
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience identifying target audiences and designing digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • This person must be organized, resourceful, creative and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g. DART, Atlas)
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Aware of the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Candidate must have a solid understanding of current marketing tools and strategies
  • Must be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution
