Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello on Tuesday signed a law providing for the regulation of outdoor structure for displaying signage and advertising bill and three others.
The Act also enacted a Bill providing for the establishment of Kogi State Sanitation and Waste Management Board Act 2022, an Act providing for the movement of agricultural produce in Kogi State and other issues related to the 2022 law.
The remainder is an Act providing for the repeal and re-enactment of the Hotel and Tourism Board Edict of 1995, establishing the Kogi State Hotel and Tourism Board and other related matters.
The governor assured that all the laws passed were favorable to the citizens and aimed at making Kogi great.
The Governor urged the State Assembly to identify all laws previously passed and signed but not implemented by the various ministries, agencies or parastatals in order to engage in joint monitoring and evaluation.

Bello pointed out that his administration inherited a state that was anarchic but had vastly improved, adding that the 7th Assembly had functioned effectively.
He requested that the legislative arm continue to work in synergy with the other arms of government as it was a standard provision of his administration.
He further called on all citizens, business owners and those who make a living in the state to comply with the laws stating that the newly signed laws would facilitate a clean environment and increased revenue generation.
In his address, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Matthew Kolawole assured that as an arm of government, they were committed to developing the state and improving revenue generation.
He let the governor know that the KSHA is investigating some companies that have abused the state government and will be conveying their resolution in the near future.
