Just watch Daybreak between 4:30 and 6:45 on weekdays and pay attention to the “word of the day”. Come back here and enter the “word of the day” with your name and information during the show and you could be a winner!

We’ll pick a winner each weekday after 6:45 a.m. and announce it on air before the show ends at 7 a.m. We will also call each winner.

2. Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the Money May Gas Card Giveaway contest (“Contest”) is open to residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees and contractors of KBMT (“Sponsor”), Tegna Inc., their respective affiliates, and advertising and promotional agencies, as well as immediate family members and anyone domiciled with such employees or contractors , are not eligible to enter or win.

3. How to participate. The Contest will begin on Monday, May 1, 2022 at 4:30 a.m. (CT) and end on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 7:00 a.m. (CT) (“Contest Period”).

Enter by watching 12News Daybreak between 4:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. weekday mornings during the sweepstakes period to get the ‘word of the day’. Visit and select the contest article, then enter using the “word of the day” on the contest article page there. Weekday winners will be selected after 6:45 a.m. and announced on-air before the shows end at 7 a.m. In the event that current events or technical issues prevent the display of the Word of the Day on one or more days during the Contest Period, Sponsor will post the preempted Word of the Day along with the scheduled Word of the Day on the day of the week. immediately following the preemption.

A winner will be chosen by random drawing and will be contacted by the phone number provided by the entrant.

You may enter the Contest as often as you like, but there will only be one (1) prize per person during the Contest Period. By participating, you agree to the terms of these Official Rules and to receive emails from Sponsor or those directed by Sponsor. All entries become the property of Sponsor and none will be returned.

The entry deadline for the raffle is Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 7 a.m. (CT).

4. Prices and Odds. Each weekday in May, ONE winner will receive a $50 gas card. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

5. Winner Notification and Acceptance. Sponsor will call during normal business hours at the number provided on the entry form and will not leave a message. Failure to reach winner by phone after three (3) attempts may result in winner’s disqualification, loss of interest in all prizes and selection of an alternate winner from all remaining eligible entries. To claim the prize, the winner must come personally to our 12News studios five (5) business days after notification. Office visits must be on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. CT and 5:00 p.m. CT. Valid photo ID may be required. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are not assignable or transferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. The prices are not redeemable for cash. Prizes and individual prize package components are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and paying any tax on prizes. 7. Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is held invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision were not contained therein.

8. Sponsor. The Money May Gas Card giveaway is sponsored by KBMT. Sponsor’s decisions regarding winner selection and all other aspects of the Contest are final and binding in all respects.
